In the Spokane Valley area, there are several online options available for AA meetings. They are being held every day of the week at various times. These are excellent because they connect people with others in their local area.
The AA Intergroup also offers several options for virtual AA meetings. Their meetings are held using Zoom, Skype or other programs, and the groups are very welcoming.
At Narcotics Anonymous, they believe that everyone with an addiction needs to know that it is possible to stop using. They offer a message of hope for people who believe all hope is lost. They utilize the 12-Step program as a way to assist people in making the changes they need to make in their lives.
Like AA, NA meetings are held all over the world, and there are many in the Spokane Valley area. People with any type of addiction are invited to attend, including those who are alcoholics. This is a place to meet new friends and get the necessary support to get clean.
Also, NA members are not required to pay any type of membership dues or fees. All that is required is for them to have a desire to stop using.

The Narcotics Anonymous website has also set up many NA meetings online as well. They list hundreds of options for people to participate with. Their meetings are held every day of the week at various times.
SMART Recovery is a method of addiction recovery that is very different from the 12-Step model most people are used to. Their focus is on complete abstinence from substances. Through peer support group meetings and their helpful materials, they show people that freedom from addiction is possible.

Please remember that anyone can attend an Al-Anon meeting regardless of age. Young people without any Alateen meetings near them may want to consider this option. Also, there are online chat meetings available for teenagers as well.
Unfortunately, many people who need AA, NA or Al-Anon tend to shy away from these meetings. They may do so for a number of reasons. However, the most common reason is that they're just not sure what to expect. They may worry that they will be singled out, or put on the spot. It can be difficult to share intimate details about yourself in a group of strangers.
