Narcotics Anonymous is another popular support group. Similar to AA, this organization helps addicts overcome their drug dependencies. But, NA caters to people who use illicit drugs.
Their program helps people recover from all kinds of addictions, including heroin addiction, crystal meth addiction, cocaine addiction, and prescription drug addiction. They don’t privilege any one drug over another. They simply want to help folks get clean.
NA meetings are free and open to the public. They happen every day in Hansen and other cities all over America.

Al-Anon is a support group for the family members of addicts. They help people who love addicts cope with the painful emotions that arise from this situation.
You don’t have to be a drug addict or alcoholic for addiction to affect you. If your child, parent, sibling or spouse is drug dependent, it’s sure to impact your life.
Al-Anon provides a safe space where people go to find support. In these meetings, members bond over their fear, anxiety, sadness, anger, and guilt. They offer each other advice and listen to each other’s stories. A moderator is present to facilitate the meeting and offer input on topics like how to hold interventions.
Loving an addict can take a drastic toll on your physical and mental health. If a family member’s addiction is affecting you in any way, Al-Anon meetings could be a good resource.
