Here’s a Sneak Peek of Our Facility Â
An in-person walk-through of our facility will obviously give you the most insight on what we can offer. However, you can get an idea of how comfortable and inviting our newest inpatient rehab center is with the sneak peeks below: It’s important to note that our facility meets all local safety regulations. We guarantee that our facility is not only safe but also comfortable.
About Northpoint Washington
Northpoint Washington is a 44-bed inpatient treatment facility in Edmonds, Washington. If you’ve ever visited Northpoint Recovery, you’ll know that we’re a 22-bed inpatient treatment facility. This means that our newest inpatient rehab is twice as big. This is incredibly exciting, as this means that our newest facility can help twice as many people recover from addiction. Northpoint Washington is able to offer a wide range of addiction treatment programs. They will specialize in offering a 28-day program that offers both medical detox services and behavioral therapies. We hope to become one of the best drug and alcohol rehabs in Washington State. We offer individualized treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of each patient. We also offer a high staff-to-patient ratio to ensure that patients get as much time as possible with staff members. Northpoint Washington will only use evidence-based treatment programs, so patients are equipped with the tools and skills needed to recover.
What Is an Inpatient Treatment Facility?
There’s a huge difference between inpatient care and outpatient care. Inpatient care requires patients to move into the drug and alcohol rehab facility for the entire duration of the treatment program. Northpoint Washington offers a 28-day program for both drug and alcohol addiction. At Northpoint Washington, patients will go through a rigorous treatment plan that involves:
- Waking up early in the morning to enjoy a nutritional breakfast and to get started on one’s recovery
- Getting medical detox services to ease withdrawal symptoms and medication maintenance therapy (MMT) to help with long-term recovery
- Going to behavioral therapies and counseling to treat psychological withdrawal symptoms and to work on building better habits
- Building better habits by following a rigorous daily schedule and by learning more about exercise, nutrition, and mental health
- Exercising by doing therapeutic yoga, going on hikes and more
Inpatient rehab programs are most ideal for those who are likely to experience life-threatening withdrawal symptoms. Patients will be under 24-hour supervision. If their condition changes at any point in time, the nursing staff can correct the issue immediately. Inpatient treatment programs often offer a more comfortable environment for focusing on your recovery. These programs are also ideal for those who are likely to relapse or for those who need more support. Inpatient programs offer the highest level of care possible.
What Are the Benefits of Going to an Inpatient Rehab Center?
There are many reasons for choosing an inpatient treatment program offer an outpatient one. There’s a reason why most addiction experts recommend going to an inpatient program first and then transitioning into an outpatient one after. Some of the many benefits that inpatient programs can offer include:
- Custom-tailored treatment programs. Everyone needs something different when it comes to addiction treatment. What works for someone might not necessarily work for you. Northpoint Washington will work with you to create a treatment plan that fits your needs.
- A private and comfortable recovery environment. Many substance abusers have a difficult time recovering at home because they are constantly being exposed to triggers. Triggers can be anything from items that remind you of getting high or people that you often do drugs or drink with.
- Quick access to addiction treatment services. While staying at an inpatient facility, you are literally just minutes away from addiction treatment services. You can talk with a counselor or addiction psychiatrist at any time. You can also go to group therapy or attend a drug education class.
- A strong social support network. Meet other people who are in a similar situation as you. While seeking inpatient treatment, you’ll also make lifelong friends and meet people who can become key members of your support network.
- Strict daily schedules. Drinking and doing drugs have probably led you down an unhealthy path in life. The rigorous and carefully-planned schedules will ensure that you get your life back on the right track. You’ll learn how to determine what foods are nutritious, how to incorporate exercise into your daily schedule and how to plan for the day.
Seeking inpatient care can completely transform your life. It can help you learn how to manage addictive behaviors and how to be the best version of yourself.
How Will You Pay for Inpatient Rehab?
Although 1 in 7 Americans will face some sort of substance use disorder (SUD) in their lifetime, only 10% of these individuals will seek addiction treatment services. The reason why many people hesitate to reach out for help is that they’re worried about the costs involved with getting treated. What most people don’t realize is that they won’t be paying for most of the expenses out of their own pockets. The Affordable Care Act has included addiction treatment services as one of the ten elements of essential health benefits. This means that anyone with private health insurance will have some coverage for substance abuse treatment. It also means that you are most likely covered by your health insurance plan. You can verify your insurance with us to get a better idea of the type of coverage you have. We’ll help you deal with the paperwork and everything else that’s involved. This way, you can focus on your recovery. If you don’t have private health insurance, you’re likely still covered thanks to Medicare and Medicaid. Our team of experts can help you figure out what to do next.
What Can You Bring to an Inpatient Rehab Facility?
If you choose to go with an inpatient treatment program, you’re agreeing to stay at the facility for the entire duration of the program. You’re not permitted to leave. Family and friends can come to see you during visitation hours. This change of scenery can help you reset your brain and pick up new habits.

A Quick Look at Our Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Programs
Northpoint Washington offers 28-day inpatient programs. Patients will enjoy individualized drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Each program will take into account not only the patient’s physical but his or her mental health as well. Patients who are struggling with a co-occurring mental health disorder will need dual diagnosis treatment. On the first day, patients will need to spend some time familiarizing with the environment and also filling in paperwork. They’ll also need to be medically assessed by several licensed healthcare providers. Once the paperwork and logistics are out of the way, patients will meet with a greeter, who is a patient who is further along in the program. At the start of each program, patients go through medical detox. Detox can last anywhere from 7 to 14 days. Our doctors will prescribe an array of medications depending on the patient’s substance of choice, as well as the type of withdrawal symptoms that he or she is experiencing. Once detox is complete, patients can then move onto the rest of their addiction treatment program. While at the facility, patients are fully accommodated. Each accommodation is designed to sleep two patients at a time. Patients will also be provided with healthy and delicious meals, as well as any necessary nutritional supplements.
How Often Will You Get to See a Counselor?
Chances are, you’ll be seeing a counselor every day during your stay with us. Your counselor will check up on your progress and talk with you about your concerns, emotions and mental health. We have a counseling team available every day of the week. If you ever need additional support, you can always reach out to someone.
Is Smoking Allowed at Northpoint Washington?
If you’re a smoker, Northpoint Washington has designated areas for you to smoke. With that said, patients must bring their own unopened packs of cigarettes. Also, those who use chewing tobacco must use their own pouches.
When Are the Visiting Hours?
We understand that you’re going to miss your family and friends. However, they are allowed to visit on the weekends only. All visits must be scheduled in advance. Also, each visitor must be approved prior to each visit.
Northpoint Recovery Results
Although Northpoint Washington isn’t Northpoint Recovery, we are confident that our new location will offer a similar quality of care. Recently, we, at Northpoint Recovery, commissioned Milliman to study and assess the effectiveness of our alcohol and drug treatment programs. We are one of the only rehab facilities who has ever done this. We hope that the report will not only give addicts more confidence in our program but will give us some insight into how we can improve our program. The Milliman Outcome Assessment Report determined that:
- 75% of our patients passed a urine drug test 180 to 270 days after discharge
- 84% of our patients did not need to be re-admitted into an alcohol or drug addiction program even after 365 days from completing our program
- 90% of our patients who highly recommend our services to others
- 90% of our patients would consider their stay with us to be a success
- 96% of our patients did not need to be re-admitted into an opioid addiction treatment program after seeking Vivitrol services
51% of our patients get admitted to our alcohol addiction treatment program. 28% of our patients are admitted into our opioid addiction treatment program, and 13% are treated for an addiction to stimulants.
Check Out Our Testimonials
We’ve had many past testimonials that rave about our services. Check out our testimonials here. We’ve also included some reviews below:
North Point Recovery is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I am forever grateful for the experience I had as a resident at this facility this summer. The treatment I received, the knowledge I gained & the self respect I got back is more than I could’ve hoped for. The accommodations were clean & comfortable. The food was excellent. I could relax & focus on my recovery, and above all else the staff was PHENOMENAL! Every person there made me feel welcome & comfortable from the moment I showed up in the parking lot. They were genuine…caring….respectful & trustworthy. I didn’t feel like I was being judged or looked down upon. . I recommend North Point Recovery to anyone who is struggling with an addiction. It’s only 28 days. It’s over before you know it….who knows?? It might just change your life… ~ Heather W. Northpoint Recovery should win an award for best rehab center on Earth. The staff are incredible and genuinely care about their patients every day. They share their own stories of recovery and inspire us all to want what they have; sobriety. The days are perfectly structured with “classes” on our diseases, “processing” things we’re battling, exercise, yoga, tai chi, 3 square meals cooked to perfection and amenities that are appropriate to our recovery. Their program is mind-blowingly awesome and really works! I’ve seen many of my peers “graduate” from this facility and they can honestly say they are still sober. We owe our lives to this place. ~ Stephanie L.

Check Out Our Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Rehab Facilities
Like Northpoint Washington, Northpoint Recovery is also an inpatient alcohol and drug treatment center. Northpoint Recovery is located in Boise, Idaho and caters to Idahoans. We are hoping that Northpoint Washington will be more accessible to Washington residents. Other than these two inpatient treatment facilities, we also have a number of outpatient rehab branches:
Ashwood Recovery: Ashwood Recovery offers outpatient care in both Boise, Idaho and Nampa, Idaho. These outpatient treatment centers offer a wide range of services, like:
- Holistic care
- Behavioral therapy
- Integrated treatment and medical intervention
- Educational workshops and skill-building activities
- Family therapy
- Relapse prevention
- Group therapy and support
Patients can choose from three different types of outpatient programs here. Standard outpatient programs require a weekly commitment of 6 hours while Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) involve a weekly commitment of 10 to 15 hours. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) requires a weekly commitment of 30 hours. Patients, who have committed an inpatient treatment program at Northpoint Recovery, can easily transition into an outpatient program at Ashwood Recovery. The outpatient programs can help encourage long-term recovery. Northpoint Seattle at Northpoint: Northpoint Seattle at Northpoint offers outpatient care in Bellevue, Washington. There is also another location opening in Northgate, Seattle in the summer. This outpatient rehab facility offers services like:
- Psychiatric care and medications for co-occurring disorders
- Holistic activities (therapeutic yoga, mindfulness, experimental therapy, and grounding techniques)
- Behavioral therapy
- Family therapy
- Group sessions and support
- Relapse prevention practices
- Educational classes and skill-building activities
The addiction treatment services offered here are basically the same as Ashwood Recovery. Previously, patients who came to Northpoint Seattle at Northpoint did not have an inpatient treatment center to fall back on. With the grand opening of Northpoint Washington, we are now able to offer a full continuum of care for those living in Washington. Just like Ashwood Recovery, Northpoint Seattle at Northpoint offers three different types of outpatient programs. Standard outpatient programs come with a weekly commitment of 6 hours, and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) comes with a weekly commitment of anywhere between 10 to 15 hours. Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs) involve a weekly commitment of at least 30 hours.
Outpatient care is just as effective as inpatient care. Many substance abusers do opt for outpatient treatment programs if they do not have the time to commit to an inpatient one.
